I have a Word document with an image embedded in it that I would like to e-mail to people who don't have MS Word. So I created an HTML document with the same image. But without the image being sent separately and saved to the save folder, when the file is opened, the image doesn't display.

Question: What kind of document or what way will allow this type of arrangement to be e-mailed and viewed as it should be; i.e., text with the image displayed?

What if you kept it as a Word document and sent them the link to the viewer?

I know you can compose an html message in both Outlook and Outlook Express, paste the image into the message and it'll send with the image as part of the message. (I know that because I just tried it.) The recipients will have to have an email client capable of handling html messages in order for it to display correctly, though.

    Daizy,

Yes, I finally gave up on trying some of the other methods, e.g, creating the document in .rtf (2 megs) compared to a 58 K .doc file. So, I simply cropped out the image and pasted it into an Outlook HTML e-mail and sent it. :D
