ok i have a wireless router/modem that works fine, i have another pc in another room that is connected to this router/modem using a linksys wireless pci card. i recently had a friend move in with me and he bought a d-link wireless pci card. ok when i try and add him to my connection which has privacy setting to WEP-Automatic... which i have no clue what it means, but i gave him the encryption key that we all use. now when i enter the key it connects but it says Limited or no connectivity.. could anyone give me the simplest way to solve this problem ..i dont want to keep setting my privacy to none =[

Check the TCP/IP properties of your buddy's card. It may not be set for DHCP. Meaning he may not be receiving an address from your router. Usually when you see "Limited or No Connectivity" that means the card is using an APIPA or Automatic Private IP Address that Microsoft enables if there's no DHCP server available

Also make sure you aren't using MAC address filtering on your wireless router, or if you are make sure to add the MAC address of the D-Link card to the list of allowed connections.
