    i have found that if i click on speaker icon on Desktop, open it then click add speaker icon to taskbar,apply,ok, i get it in taskbar, but it disappears overnight

    That's because the music you are playing is keeping the neighbors awake at night!

    Seriously though, there may be some other audio controls program on your computer that "wants to be" in charge of audio devices and volume controls. Such is often the case when sound card software is installed. Examples are: Realtek Audio Mixers, Creative Soundblaster Mixers, etc.

    I am sure you are correct, i did not install any that you mention.
    i consider it an annoying glitch as a couple months ago i had some problwems and had to use disk1 of my "System Restore Disks "
