My wife incorrectly entered my e-mail address into her laptop and didn't notice it until trying to forward an e-mail to me. We have corrected the mistake and no matter what we do we cannot get rid of the old e-mail address. We have deleted all my contact info, reentered it, unchecked autofill, rechecked autofill, rebooted and nothing works. When using autofill it still fills in the incorrect e-mail address even though we can find no trace of the incorrect e-mail address anywhere. Any Help deleting the incorrect e-mail address deeply appreciated. Thanks, Jack

    Which app are you using?

In Outlook and OE you can type: J for example...It'll bring up any address that starts with J. You can highlight it and hit the Delette key to zap it.

Using Windows Mail. Tried your suggestion, Steve, and still get the old incorrect address when using autofill. Even tried deleting my new contact info so I'm not even listed and still get the old incorrect e-mail address when using autofill.

Came across the solution on a Microsoft forum. Hope this helps someone else out with a similar problem/question.

"You will just have to wait it out.
Windows Mail remembers the last 29 recipients you sent mail to.
Eventually that bad address will drop off the remembered list ".
