I was on Jibjab.com and when i clicked the "my jibjab" link I got this message:

Run time error Program C:\program files\internet explorer\ explore.exe R6025 pure virtual function call

    It then crashes my browser.
Can some one tell me what I can do to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

Which version of IE are you using?

Please confirm that the path you posted is correct .....

    C:\program files\internet explorer\ explore.exe

explore.exe can be a virus and is not the executable for IE 7 which is iexplore.exe.

I suggest you do an online virus scan using one of the scanners listed in Quicklinks in my signature.

Its not a virus. I just did a virus scan on Sunday.
It was my typo. It WAS iexplore.exe. Im using version 6.0.2900.2180
    The error message is...
    C:\program files\internet explorer\ iexplore.exe R6025 pure virtual function call

Is that the only link/website that you get this problem? After extensive Googling - plenty of hits, but no absolute solutions the only fact that stands out is a programming error, presumably on the website.

I googled as well and found my solution. I was led to MS support page:

FIX: Error message when you run Internet Explorer 6 on a computer that is running Windows XP: "Runtime Error "

    the fix was:
928090 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928090/) MS07-016: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer
    or
    925418 hotfix

Thanks for your continued attention in this.

Darn it - I missed/glossed over that and I found the fix for IE 6 too :(

I've run IE 7 since the Beta stage and with IE 8 on the horizon tend to assume .... Sorry about that, could have been resolved sooner.

    Thanks for the update.
