cannot completely delete program

Got new laptop, win XP Media Center.
Didn't like any of the music players.
So I copied Music match Jukebox off an older computer via thumbdrive. Loaded that onto the new laptop. Bad idea. Wouldn't run. Found the CD with the program so I tried to load it, hoping it would overwrite the old one. Another bad idea.
So I try the add/delete programs function; not once, twice but three times. Will not delete.
Try a system restore to an earlier date. That seems to delete the program so I try to re-load with the install CD. No joy.
Desperate, I go into the regedit. I delete every search item I can find for musicmatch and mmjb. It seems to get rid of everything but the re-install still will not work.
So what else can I do?

I ran the full revo, twice. But no joy. The installation goes through until the install process. It then freezes and I have to go to the task manager. It shows program not responding. When I close out I get the error message... "the remote procedure call failed ".
The program seems to be installed but will not run.
Help!

This is the recuring problem as I try other cleaners, etc.
What does it mean? What do I do to fix it?

Hoping someone has a solution for this. I've scrubbed the pc of the old copy of the musicmatch jukebox as best i can, including the registry.
But on installation, it hangs up at the end and displays "The remote procedure call failed ".
I really like the way this older version of music match works. I hate the new versions I find around the web. Still looking for suggestions on how to get his loaded on my new laptop.
