I recently upgraded to IE7. Within 2 days I lost my Goggle tool bar; could not find it; it WAS NOT in View/Tool bars. It WAS listed in Add/Remove Programs.

Finally, I uninstalled and reinstalled it. It's missing again although tool bars IS locked and it is in Add/Remove Programs.

Why is this happening? Why am I losing the Goggle tool bar? How do I find it again?

    Windows XP SP2
    IE 7.0.5730
    128 bit

When you right click on a blank area of the Command Bar (to the left of the Home icon) is the Google Toolbar shown in the list and is it checked?

Locking the toolbar locks those tool bars which are showing, but does not prevent you hiding/showing other toolbars which are listed.

In Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons the Toolbar should be listed 3x - Toolbar, Notifier & Helper and all should be enabled.

It is NOTted here or in View/Tool bars.

I Did lock Tool bars after I last reinstalled Goggle tool bar and that did not prevent it from disappearing the second time.

It IS listed in Tools/Manage Add-ons.

This HAS to be related to installation of IE7. (read my original post)

    Any other suggestions?

Thanks, that was a big help. Didn't have 3rd party browsers enabled.

Little strange as the default is checked. Nevertheless glad to hear that the problem is resolved :)
