Just put together a Home Theater system and I want to create some demo-type DVDs.

I managed to get a whole bunch of interesting trailers from here:
    Code:
    http://www.demo-world.eu/
but I'm not sure how to put these .vob clips onto a DVD so it'll play in a system that's not connected to a computer. Playing these clips is no prob on my computer, but my HT, with its Pioneer DV-466 player, is in my living room.

    Advice would be appreciated :)

    Masonite,

You need something like NERO to burn the files to a DVD.
It will play on most DVD players. I believe NERO is share ware.
So you get to use it for 30 days.

    Thanks guys.

TonyT: Duh, didn't think of googling it. It's obviously way more complex than I'd thought. Seems like I might be at the low end of a steep learning curve :)

Sven: Thanks, but it's not the burning app I was concerned about, it's preparing the files for burning that's the problem here. Actually, IMHO, Ahead has lost the plot with its latest versions of Nero. Like Norton, it's become bloated and buggy.

My current flavor of the month for basic CD\DVD data burning is Cyberlink's Power2Go, but I've no idea if it's up to scratch for the kind of DVD work that I'm planning.

    Hi.

Nero will prepare the files as well as burn them.
I use version 6.6 and have no problems.

I do alot of video processing and I also avoid Nero. There are many ways to go to do what you want. DivxtoDVD can do what you want. I have an older version 1.99 that can easily do what you want.

I also use a program called Super http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER_1
for other types of conversions. For example it can convert your .vob file to anything from .mpeg to .avi. No problem. I find it easier to edit an .avi and then convert to DVD when your finished.

Back to DivxtoDVD, I used to use a freeware version before I bought version 1.99. I don't know if it will do .vob but its still available for download, I think.

Give it a try, let me know how it goes. And anything you learn I wanna know.
