modem not functioning

a friend has a computer and the modem is not working device manager shows a yellow circle and a black mark in the middle what does that mean and how can he get the modem to work? the computer has windows xp professional operating system. i ran a 'unknown device identifier' but i don't know how to make ut the results can anyone tell me what it means if i send the results to you

 

the program looks like it charges how do i do this i am not familar with computers. can it be saved to a floppy since i have t o use a public computer. i can not download things i can only save them
