Common Files folder under Program Files question

    HI all , Happy New Year ! :)

    I'm curious to know about a certain folder call " Common Files " it listed under Program Files . Is it a necessary folder ? I have Acronic True Image listed in there but my concern is from within ATI folder , If I expand ATI folder there a folder call " BackUpScripts " this folder has many listing of programs which i am concern about , should I be ? thanks

    Common Files - It is indeed a default folder, and an important one.

    Which ones are you concerned about, and why?

    Thanks Pete for that link , I still don't understand what its for but from what I gather its normal and nothing to worry about ... Thanks
