Hello from the Perfect 16-0 Patriots home town. My question is this, an extra I always loved in Netscape Navigator browsers was "Same As" I believe the button was. When you would find a website that you liked all you did was click on the button at top of browser and it would bring up a list of similar sites. Does Firefox's Browser have an Extension like that???? Hope this can be asked in this forum.
Thanks & Happy New Year to one and all.

Where do you see this "same as" button. Is it a button, or a context(right)-click line? I have both Firefox and Navigator, and I don't see anything like you describe.
Is it anything like: del.icio.us ?
If it is an add-on, it would be compatible with Firefox, before it has ever been with Navigator.

Hello Westside, the "same As" button was next to the address bar where the url would go. It was beside the GO button in earlier versions of the Netscape Navigator Browser. Its been awhile since I saw it but I always liked the idea of it. It was kinda doing a search of the present website. Like if Windows BBS was in the address bar it would then show a group of other computer forums.
Thanks for your time Westside and Happy, Healthy New Year to you and yours.

By the way, I, vaguely, remember seeing something that you described, but I never used such button which does not exist in present Firefox, or Navigator, or, for that matter even in Flock. Since, I know nothing about it, I don't know what question to ask for a Search.
By the way, I got my Ph.D. at Brandeis, and, my wife is from the Boston area.
Go Patriots ( and Red Sox)!

Okay Westside, not a problem. Its not that important, I was just wondering if there was something like that for Firefox. I remember that you and the wife had a Waltham connection. How bout being a Boston Sports fan now :) like Jackie Gleason would say "How sweet it is ". I remember when things were NOT SO GOOD with terrible curses ;-) and they would find more ways to loose. The Sox, Pats & Celtics are all looking good!
Be well and thanks for the assist.
    HAPPY NEW YEAR

aside: While I was never a Sox, Pats or Celtics fan, I was a huge Bruin fan back in the days of Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito and Derek Sanderson (in fact, I've played with Sanderson during our minor leagues days ... years ago). Anyhoo... I also vaguely remember this Seach button which you mentioned but it seems to me to go back to the Netscape 6 and 7 iterations. If I remember correctly, it would bring up Search items that were related to the item in your address bar. But I never really used it and had completely forgotten about it until you mentioned it. With Google so prevalent now, is it really all that desirable? Just curious.

James, finally someone remembered that button, it was helpful and yes Google is able to do that it just as well. I'll send you a private message about Bruins..Also, sory Ramona, you are right I'm just on such a "Boston High" but its not the place for it.

Got your message, Paul. Back at ya!

I'll bet Jay Garcia would remember what it is you're looking for. After all... he was one of the developers. You can find him at the UFAQ forum.
