I tried to add internet sharing on my Windows 2000 laptop as i bought a new wireless router and my desktop which had Windows ME, would not connect to the internet.

When I went through the internet sharing wizard, it asked me to set up a password, it said username Administrator and I left the password blank, now when I go to restart my laptop, its asking for me to login, however when I try a blank, it doesn't let me in.

How can I fix this? I don't have any info on the laptop that I'm afraid of losing.

From what I read, that blank password is for the router, and you were asked to enter the laptop's password. I would connect both computers to the router so they would get an internet connection then get them both to the same workgroup to share files.

I found some reboot disks and did that, now I've only got my other connection problem in a separate thread.
