    Should be:
    Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add-Remove Software...find Windows Media Player uninstall.
    Gohere for proper version.

    don't work

Daisy, it don't work in my winxpp? Me thinks it's a winxp appy like notepad & wordpad. It's not to be "unhide" in the SYSSOC.INF folder either? Where does this thing hide:confused:

Then what about a repair? Or a system restore? :(
I truly don't know. Tell me again why everyone jumped onto XP?

Daizy - because XP is so much fun. Always a challange. :D

Cort - go to the folder under program files and start the setup_wm.exe. There is an option to either update or reinstall all.

Thx for all your replies (I havn't check in a while - been playin' Helbreath). =) WMP doesn't show up under Add/Remove Programs, and the setup file in the WMP folder says "You have the newest version" whether I do update or reinstall. Also, I can't delete the files and use the setup either, because WinXP undeletes them automatically, and it's still the v9 that I don't want, thx for all your help, and if you have any other ideas, plz reply. =)
