    Hi There,

I am having the weirdest of problems with one of my networks AD accounts.

The user can login fine, the profile loads no probs. But when you open the start menu, the whole left hand side is blank, the recent programs and pinned programs are all gone.

I try to open Outlook and get the message... "Cannot start Microsft Outlook "

    or Word

"Windows cannot access specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. "

I have checked all the permissions not a problem at all.

Can someone please help me! This is the second account that has done it, the first i just deleted the AD account and created a new one, i don't have time to do that again.

(Please be specific in you help so I can help more ilits to fix if it ever shows again.)

    Cheers.......Dale

Cant tell you what the problem is, but if it was on my network, I would simply delete the profile and create a new one as it sounds corrupted.

If you don't want to do that then start by checking the event viewer on the AD server when the guy logs in.

Bummer, I was hoping not to have to do that again.

I will try and the AD log and see how it goes.

    Thanks.....Dale
