    Hi,
Well finally got my computer redone, everything seems to work great and FAST now....but no DSL...:( I wrote my server and they said I may not have the drivers...anyone know what I need or where I can download the driver on a disc to put on? I went through my Dell disc for drivers and all is on there that I can tell. I did check the FireWall and tried with it on and off and both ways still would not connect up.
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks so much, Rhonda

My Internet provider said I need to reload the Ethernet Controlling Driver....but none of my disc seem to have that. When I go to Device Manager and click I have question marks by Other Devices and also on the Ethernet Controller.....Where can I download a driver for this? I went to Dell and Microsoft and there is like 100 of them.....I am running of course Windows XP....anyone know?

    What model is the computer?

We need to know what kind of adapter it is. Do you have the bill of sale that came with the computer? Or, possibly any other papers that came with it? It could be that there's a list of the hardware on one of them. Or, you could call Dell and ask them. They will have a record of the computer you bought and should be able to tell you what kind of adapter it is.

If the adapter came with the computer, it's kind of odd that your disks wouldn't have the drivers for it though. Unless you're missing a disk, they should be on one of them.
