When I mis type an address instead of defaulting to IE cannot display the page, I get an anoying web site that keeps popping up. It is www.lop.com which is live on line portal. The problem is that you cannot back out to the original page. It defaults back to its home page www.lop.com which has a load of advertisements that pop up. This continues until I close IE out and start again.

I deleted the cookies, history and files but it keeps coming back. I even forbid that sites cookies but that has made no difference. I checked all files on my hard drive with those letters hoping to see something there so I could delete it but nothing comes up.
This is with IE 6 and Win98SE.
    Any help is appreciated.

This is an unconscionable program that hijacks your browser. They claim an uninstaller is to be found in the Help section of all of their apps, but you can find the "universal" lop uninstaller here:
    http://lop.com/uninstall.exe

And if you haven't already, *.lop.com would probably be an excellent site to add to your restricted list. Same for *.lop2.com while you are at it.
