IE7 (French) blocking pics

I'm looking at an XP machine running a French version of IE7. It appears to be blocking pictures, but, apart from the fact that I don't use IE7 myself, it's in French so I have no idea how to configure it.

I'm guessing that there's a security setting that needs adjusting. If someone can tell me where to look, I can probably skin around the language barrier.

You sure have some wierd problems

Assuming "blocking" means the pics don't show in the web site, and not about being able to download pics.

In IE's Internet Options > Advanced tab > under Multimedia, see if "show pictures" is checked.

Multimedia is the next category after java if that helps.

 

Thanks Charlesvar. Yeah, I seem to get some doozies. Mind you, I'll always ask a question, even if I think I can bull my way through it, because all answers will get added to this gi-normous cyber-database we call the 'net' and will invariably benefit other folks.

I'll try your suggestion as soon as I get the guy's HDD back in it's case and I'll report back. As I said, I don't use IE7 so I've no idea where any of the settings are, let alone in a French version.
