Hi Guys, can anyone help me with this one?
Everytime I shut down, when I reboot I lose my desktop theme. The bottom taskbar goes white and the font is strange and the border around any window that is opened is white instead of blue. I have to go into "Display Properties" every time and reset the theme!!!

    Hi aj,

Is it a standard (type) Windows theme that you are trying to run?

Even having used some type of third-party theme in the past (that has not been completely uninstalled) may be the problem. In this case, I would try reinstalling the old theme and immediately uninstall it (using the Add or Remove Programs). If you have happened to have installed a third party theme at some stage in the past, check in Add/Remove Programs in case it is still there.

    Open XP "Services ".
Check if Themes is running and set to "Automatic" during windows startup. If not running, change setting to Automatic, then choose start, set your desired Theme view and restart computer.

Right click My Computer icon > Manage > Services & Applications > Services. Double click on a Service to configure.

    Alternatively ....

    Start > Run > services.msc > OK
