Everytime i use it, i keep getting:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

it asks me if i want to send an error report or not. I have tried both. When i click on send, a new box appears about getting help in order to avoid the prob again, but when i click on it, it just a opens a website which says the following:

    Problem caused by Xvid

This problem was caused by Xvid. This program was created by The Xvid Team. The Xvid Team does not currently have a solution for the problem that you reported.

    Recommendation

A newer version of Xvid is available for download that might address this problem. The Xvid Team recommends updating to the latest version of Xvid to take advantage of security and stability improvements.

Go online to the following website to update Xvid:

    The Xvid Team

anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this.

if its any help, i have an aqua hdd media player and its external

    thank you

Hi, Kermit. Welcome to Windows BBS! :)
I am not familiar with Xvid. However, according to http://www.xvid.org/, the latest version of Xvid is 1.1.3

    What version are you running?

i don't know if this helps, but... i am running windows XP, so i did not need an installation disk because it was reconised automaticly. is it possible to remove any files so that it would be reconised again.

i have gone to safely remove hardware, but i still have the same probs.

everything that is on the external hard drive still works on my tv.

    Hi, kermit. :)

Thanks for your follow-up. Apparently no-one had any further ideas to share. I am not intimately familiar with Windows Media Player and/or Xvid Media Player issues so I didn't have any further suggestions, myself.

What did you do and what did you observe (and are currently observing) that makes you think you solved your issue?

If you share that information with us, then the information might help other people who have the same or similar issues.
