    hardone,
    welcome to WindowsBBS ... :) ... !

You are a person of few words. Not much to go on. Is it the first time or a reoccurring issue?

First time it has happened, I can clear the error but it does seem to pop back at it's leisure

wuauclt.exe is the process running Automatic Windows Update. It runs at computer start and should disappear within ~5 minutes (may be longer if it was a long time since it ran or if updates are available). After that, it runs on a schedule but I don't know exactly how often. Restart the computer and open Task Manager (ctrl-alt-del) and find it under the process tab. Check if it behaves like it should.

How is it set to run in Control Panel > Automatic Updates?

Autoupdates set as all PC's here automatically and daily, checked in task manager and it still is running after 10 minutes or so

I have my computer set to "notify but do nothing else until I say so" which results in the behaviour I referred to. (When updates are available, it brings up a yellow shield in the Notification Area, prompting for download and when done, promting for installation. I like to know when it happens rather than getting the "you need to reboot your computer" message when the deed is done.) I don't know how it behaves set to fully automatic but I don't expect it to differ. Get back if the message pops up again.

Any additional information about this error in Event Viewer?
