Am using Verizon FIOS fro internet with WIndows XP Home. Verizon has a site for upload/download speeds to your computer. When I ran the test my results showed this : Test Analysis Information

    Checking for Middleboxes . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Done
    SendBufferSize set to [8192]
    running 10s outbound test (client to server) . . . . . 1.55Mb/s
    running 10s inbound test (server to client) . . . . . . 5.12Mb/s
Information: Network Middlebox is modifying MSS variable
Server IP addresses are preserved End-to-End
Information: Network Address Translation (NAT) box is modifying the Client's IP address
Server says [72.78.100.57] but Client says [192.168.1.2]

Speeds seemd to be as advertised but the last 3 lines confused me (re: the Clients IP address)
Anyone know the significance of this ? or would this be normal ?

Server IP addresses are preserved End-to-End:
means just that, ip address of your router, the test server are preserved during the test, as well as your local ip address.

Information: Network Address Translation (NAT) box is modifying the Client's IP address:
    Your router is using NAT.

    Server says [72.78.100.57]:
is the WAN (wide area network) IP address assigned to you by Verizon.

    but Client says [192.168.1.2]:
is your LAN IP address (local area network) which is forwarded by your Web browser to the test server.

Many thanks for your response. I had no idea if the information was good or not good. :)
