    This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action is what I get when trying to open, yet when I save this to C: I can open it no problem???????

    Where is the file located when you get the "no program associated' message...on a CD, a website, another harddrive, etc.?

    It comes as an attachement in my email..however if I save it I can then open it.

    Does it happen with all file types or only a certain one (or ones)? If it's a specific type of file, what type is it?

    Based on what I've seen posted around the net, opening a pps attachment from within Outlook Express is problematic. In other words, it's easier just to save the file, then open it.

    There are links to resources and possible solutions on this page.
