I have two PCs in my house networked one running Windows XP Home and the other Windows XP PRO both with SP2.
From time to time when I set "share this folder" on one PC I cannot 'see' it on the other PC.
This does not happen all the time but when it does it annoys me no end. Sometimes if I rename the folder I can then 'see' it on the other PC.
The folder name only exists on ONE PC.
What causes this and what do I do to ensure that it doesn't happen?
    Thanks

    Try this:

In Windows Explorer, Click on Tools / Folder Options / View Tab

Scroll to the bottm and untick the box next to "Use Simple File Sharing (recomended) "
