When Firefox first came out, I switched because I didn't like the idea of index.dat.

Plus, even the government put out a recommendation not to use ie.

My new, msn live hotmail page doesn't load right in Firefox. Does in ie. Now I just had problems with paypay, which worked perfect when I tried in ie.

I'm thinking of switching back to ie but an worried about security problems. Not sure exactly what I'm worried about since it's been so long since I used ie.

What is wrong with ie now?

    Thank you,
    Chris.

    Hello Chris,

If you switch, install IE7, much better both in security and features.

    Arie's article on IE7 http://www.helpwithwindows.com/internet-explorer-7-review2.html

I haven't seen any major issues lately and MS keeps IE (both 6 & 7) updated with cumulative security patches. There have been 3 in the last 4 months if memory serves and they are more in the nature of proactive updates rather than putting out fires.

Firefox et al have done their job - lit a fire under MS :D
