    Hello,
The client runs a VOIP system which sends voicemail messages as an attachment to their inbox. So far, only one person has had issues with this. If you double-click on the .wav attachment in the preview window, it works just fine. But if you open the message in full screen, you get the following message:
One or more ActiveX controls could not be displayed either:

    1) Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page, or
    2) You have blocked a publisher of one of the controls.

As a result, the page may not display correctly.

You can only click on "Ok" to proceed, but then after that, with the voicemail notification email in full-screen, you can access the voicemail just fine. For everyone else, the email just has the attachment and a little default message saying how to listen to the voicemail. But on this computer, it adds the following message at the bottom of the voicemail email:
alt= "Your browser understands the <APPLET> tag but isn't running the applet, for some reason. Your browser is completely ignoring the <APPLET> tag!

I've checked security settings and told it to run everything ActiveX related without prompting, but it didn't seem to do the trick. I did this by changing the security level to low and by manually going through all of the ActiveX options and changing everything to enable (which Microsoft Security Center didn't like one bit). Even after all of this, I didn't find a fix.

Fortunately, this isn't a mission critical issue as the the client can still access his voicemails. However the client insists on having a fix because it annoys him because he has to open this practically textless voicemail to fullscreen...*rolls eyes*

Any help would be appreciated. We've exhausted all the tricks we can think of. We'll try anything at this point! Thanks guys!

This fix in the KB didn't work, but I found something else. I had to change my Outlook settings to use the Internet Zone settings (which have been configured to allow ActiveX scripts). I did this by going to Tools > Options > Security, then there is a drop down which I had to change from the Restricted Security Zone to the Internet Zone. Problem solved.
