Real Player rhapsody player engine and G2 control

    I just installed the final version of real player 11 free basic.
    I noticed it installed something called Rhapsody player engine. (Found it in Control panel add/remove.) I uninstalled it.

    Also found I.E. add on called Real player G2 control. I really must pay more attention when installing!

    Anyway, what is this G2 control for? Can I disable it without ill effects? How would I delete it rather than disable it? I don't have much faith in Real Player security.

    A quick Google of Real player G2 control gives one the impression G2 has been around for years and is a good thing.

    Why you want uninstall it?

    I didn't realize that it had been around so long. I thought I didn't need it if I uninstall ed the Rhapsody player engine.
