In manage add ons I have the option to disable or enable. The option to delete is greyed out. How do I get the delete option to be available?

XP SP2 Home Edition I.E. 7 (with all the latest updates).

You can only delete ActiveX controls that you have downloaded and installed. You cannot delete ActiveX controls that were pre-installed, but you can disable them. If an add-on cannot be deleted from the Add-on Manager, you might be able to uninstall it through Control Panel (For example, I have Skype, which adds two add-ons you can't delete from the Add-on Manager, but removing Skype from Add/Remove Programs will also remove the add-ons).

Thanks for clarifying that Arie. The add on Real Player G2 control would have been installed by Real Player when I installed the latest version. So I'd have to uninstall Real Player to have it off the list. I did uninstall the Rhapsody Player engine listed in control panel thinking it would delete the add on, but I guess I'd need to uninstall Real Player also. Do I even need Real player? I have Winamp, Windows media player, Quick Time and Cyberlink Power DVD. Or are there file times that only real player can handle?
