cordbg.exe [HJT log]

Hi all, I'm getting Runtime Debuger on Desktop at startup. cordbg.exe shows on screen and my question is how do I get rid of this other than Cancel or OK? It appears to be part of NET Framework and I've downloaded and installed NET 3.0 in the hope it would overcome this nuisance. All I did the other day was update Graphics card drivers from ATI. This cordbg.exe seems to have started up since then. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Neil.

Hi Sparrow, as requested I've downloaded HJT and I hope this is what you need. I have NIS / Windows Defender / SpyBotS&D / WinPatrol and I downloaded and ran Complete Cleanup. I downloaded >NET debug tools thinking cordbg could then find the necessary gear it stated was missing. Thanks Neil.

Hi All, I have installed .NET 1.0 / 2.0 / 3.0 as this problem has been caused by downloading the latest ATI Radeon drivers. The AMD/ATI web site Troubleshoot errors suggested that .NET Framework is necessary for the ATI Catalyst drivers to work. I have now no way to change/remove ATI in Add/Remove - Control Panel. If I enter any part of ATI Catalyst from All Programs - the cordbg.exe error shows up on screen. This is a pain. Any ideas on how to get back to my old set up would be gratefully accepted. Neil.

This does not seem to be a malware issue.
But from what I have been able to dig up ATI Catalyst can cause problems at start up.

See if this will help.
Open HiJackThis and scan only. Check the boxes next to the entry listed below.

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked.

Close HJT.

Now restart your computer.
Check to see if you still get the cordbg.exe error

Hi Geri, many thanks for your time investigating my annoyance. I followed your instructions and when the comp restarted there was no cli.exe Runtime message. It's a beautiful sunny day here in Wellington NZ and 23 degrees C. This has made it even better as I was getting quite frustrated having to click off an unnecessary error message.
