After 11 years on dialup, I'm finally joining the the broadband age. (install next week). Talking to tech department at cable, I informed him I was using Netscape 7.0 and was running w95. His only comment was if I had IE on my system, which I do (5.5 sp2). He never offered any other response to this question. When a new ISP connection is made via IE, does Netscape copy it over, or is it shared with any application that links to internet. I understand there will be some manual updates in email settings per Account Name and Server Settings. These settings can be changed in the appropiate fields? Or must I go through "Remove account" and then "Add Account" process steps?
Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

    Dennis,

When I upgraded to cable, I just made the neccesary changes in my Netscape profiles. There was no need to remove anything and reinstall. I would just backup your Users folder before they install the cable. Just in case...

    Enjoy the speed! I have.

    Thanks Mike,

I should have a easy switchover. Cable does not use a proxy type link. Thus no profile changes. Email changes can be managed via input fields, do not have to "remove" or "add" any mail accounts. This should keep all my active mail folders attached to the new ISP service.
    Thanks for your comments.

PS ... Noticed your user name. You one of them there "Viking" fans? Been a Cheese Head since cheddar was invented!!!

Been a Vikings fan for as long as I can remember. Loved to watch old Fran The Man do his magic. A lot has changed since then! Not sure how my team will do this year. Just wish our #1 pick would get his butt into camp! Sometimes they're more of pain then they could be worth. Holding out for more money without proving yourself first just drives me crazy!

Any ways, best of luck to the Cheeseheads this year and enjoy your cable hook up.

    Mike,

It seems professional sports has commited itself to a high stakes poker game. How can they pay the most, to get the best and not bankrupt the teams or the fans in providing entertainment we all enjoy. Enjoy your Vikes, as I will with my Packers.
If were both L U C K Y, will see you at the playoffs.
