Windows Vista Delete User

I bought a used computer and want to delete from Users one of the previous Users "Pat ". I am the administrator and have my own user set seperate from this in Users. How do I delete Pat? The files have been changd from Read Only to ?? There is about 230 meg of stuff in the User Directory Pat.

Thank you Pete but it didn't work?? Under my picture I have 2 users me Joe & Guest. Under C:\users there is Pat. When I try to "Delete" the folder Pat thru windows explorer I get the Message "Do you want to send this file to the recycle bin ". There is a picture of a folder and the word Joe?
I am afraid to go any further. Unless I hear from you.

Thank you that is what I needed. The previous owner has loaded this machine with "Free Stuff" of every kind. The "Pat" temp area has 225 meg of stuff?? I deleted all that I knew were stuff and not MS or HP.
