    I need help!
I just recently purchased a 2wire 2700HG-E home wireless gateway/modem and am trying to connect to another computer using a Belkin Wireless G Network Adapter. As far as I can tell, everything is set up correctly, except for some reason, I'm not able to connect to the network. I can see it in my available networks, and it has full signal strength, however when I try to connect, it shows that it is verifying the network type, and then a message pops up saying that the network may no longer be in range.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    DHCP or Static?

How are you trying to aquire an IP address from your router? What are the results of the ipconfig /all command at the DOS prompt or command line?
My guess is that you're receiving a 169.254.x.x address which does not allow you to receive an address from your router because you're not on the same subnet as your router. If this is the case then add a static address that's on the same subnet as your router and then reboot.

I hate to say this but I've never had much luck with Belkin wireless cards or USB wireless port connectors. The best I could do was get them to connect at 10Mb and they were never very reliable. I have since resorted to spending the extra 10 bucks for the other products like Linksys or 3-com.

That’s where I would start cut your loses and buy a different wireless card.

    Good Luck,
