    If you don't need to replicate any ports I wouldn't worry about it:eek:

    Should have pleanty of info in the manual or on the pc makers web site.

    Hello MIR11,

    First, a definition of Port Replicator http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/P/port_replicator.html

    I personally use a powered USB Hub that plugs into one of my laptop's USB ports that accomplishes the same purpose and can be used on a Desktop as well. I use it to hook up as many as four external drives. The other USB ports on the laptop are used for printer/flash drives/mouse.

    OEM's sell the devices as an add-on enhancement.

    My laptop has Printer,& Monitor and a USB port. i may never need it.I HAVE A USB JUMPER THAT WOULD ADD 3 USB PORTS....
