Best way is to use a piece of third party software - I recommend Fastone Capture (freeware).

BTW - to post attachments here you must be a Contributing Member - if not post on a site such as Photobucket and post the URL in your thread here.

 - just scroll down the page - the last messages are below the Reply to Thread pane.

Windows is basically an operating system - there are some facilities included which often do half the job. Taking a screenshot is one of them. In many cases third party software is vastly superior. That which I recommended will take a screenshot of the whole screen, of the active window or of any portion you want - and more.

I note that your were a Contributing Member up to October 2004, but have since lapsed.

If you are not a Contributing Member the only way to post an image is to place that image in one of the many online albums and post the URL of the page on which the picture is here. Photobucket is a popular online album used by many non-contributing members here.

You can use as many computers as you like to log onto WindowsBBS, even if they are not your own or miles away - I use 4. Just fill in your original user name and password and check ' Remember me' or similar (on your computers only).

Screen Shot - hit the PRINT SCREEN key on your keyboard:eek: (i hate it when that happens)

Then you can open MS Paint and click Edit->Paste

Can then click File ->Save As (jpeg the is the best)

    Sure you have....

    XP - Start > Programs > Accessories > Paint

    98 - the same as I recall.

BTW Start > Help & Support often useful in cases like this.
