For some reason I have lost pressing WinKey-PauseBreak to open System Properties. It did work on this machine, now it does not. Not fatal, but I liked it that way. I do not know if any other key strokes with WinKey work. Maybe something in the Registry. Maybe not.

    Hi wahlroot.

I searched in vain for how to examine & change built-in "hotkeys" but have found a nice work-around.

    Start Control Panel
Right-click on System and select Create Shortcut. Answer Yes when it asks you to put the shortcut on the Desktop.

Right-click on the new System shortcut and select Properties.
    Click the Shortcut tab.
Click the Shortcut key: text box. Type a hotkey combination such as Ctrl-Shift-S. You will see the key combination in the textbox. Then click OK.

From now on typing this key combination will do what Windows-Pause/Break did.

The only WinKey combination that works is WinKey-U. This opens Utility Manager. I do not use that. StickyKeys is not turned on. When I make a Shortcut, then try to set a Hotkey combination, it automatically starts with Ctrl+Alt+. Anything I add after the + starts other things. Not System Properties. This happens with any Shortcut I try to set a Hotkey.

ReggieB!!! I tried your post on 7th of September, 2007 in the
    http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=67345
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer
My "NoDriveTypeAutoRun" set to 0x0000091 was set to 0x0000095.
I deleted everything the way you said. It did not work until I changed "NoDriveTypeAutoRun" to 0x0000091
Now it all works. Thanks a Bunch!
