NBC-Fox are offering a Beta video player for their free and legal full length movies, and new and old serials. With advertising included o'course. Their distribution partners include AOL, Comcast, MSN, MySpace, Yahoo, Sony and MGM.

The privacy policy and terms of use look fair for free video content. There's an Opt In for some of the personally identifiable information, but a user has to check the privacy policies of other websites that some of the video comes from. Demographic info is used for targeted advertising.

I must be feeling froggy this morning because I'm waiting for an "invitation" to download the Beta that started last night. I like that it is *legal* video. The free part doesn't hurt either lol. They want Beta feedback from interested users ...

I haven't joined one of these streamers before besides bittorrent, but I'm getting older and slower so thought video-on-demand would be kind of fun. Anyone see a problem with their privacy or usage terms?

    Here's a small review of it http://money.cnn.com/2007/10/29/tec...nlinevide.ap/index.htm?postversion=2007102906

Thanks for that Wired review - it fills in some blanks in the CNN writeup. Lots of free ads with the free content, and no downloads. I'm still awaiting an "invitation" for the beta, and hope it's an enjoyable player.
