Win infection - Winows OneCare won't remove...

    Thanks for the file. Still trying to analyze it. I'm happy to hear the computer is performing well again. :)

    I can't tell you why disk checking may or may not run after a hard power down as you described. My own computer sometimes will and other times won't. :confused: If you want to verify disk checking works, open My Computer and right click on Local Disk C: then select Properties. Select the Tools tab then click Check Now in the error-checking section. You should be offered to schedule a disk check the next time the computer starts. Select Yes and then restart the computer.
