task manager wont open [HJT Log]

    o.k so i recently had a virus and i think i got rid of it ... and now when i try to open the task manager .. its says it has been blocked by the administrator.. how can this be fexed?? thanks.. :p

    Please download HijackThis through Quicklinks in my signature and save it to a folder on your hard drive, say C:\HJT - not to the Desktop or a temporary location. When entries are fixed with HJT a backup is made to the folder from which HJT is run and this must be in a permanent location.

    Open the folder in which you placed HJT and double click on hijackthis.exe and select Scan and save a log file - this will be saved in the folder from which you ran HJT. Post the log (copy/paste) into your next post here.

    Hi XTC :)

    You are using an outdated version of HijackThis and it's not properly installed. Please read through this topic and get the updated Installer version, then do a scan in normal mode and post the log. I would also like for you to download Deckard's System Scanner and post the contents of the main.txt log it creates. Instructions and download link are in the above referenced topic as well.
