We pieced together a machine for my grandkids to use. We first of all installed Windows XP and found that all components wouldn't work with XP. So we took XP off and installed Windows 2000. It seemed to install fine but when we got to the signon screen, it wants a password for administrator. We tried just hitting enter which is what I thought was the correct procedure, but it wouldn't let us on. We tried blanks, and various names, but nothing works. Any suggestion on where to go from here?

During the Win2k install you were prompted to enter a password....If you can't remember what you typed you'll have to start over.
