    Hi, On most of my incoming mail containing some form of content Seamonkey won't allow me to see it. Says "Seamonkey might be a scam" I have to click on not a scam to read the mail. I know who is sending the mail by the header. Is there a way to always show remote content?

    Hi, sorry to be such a bother. Does'nt matter if I leave "pref mail.phishing.detection.enabled" in the TRUE or FALSE value, Seamonkey still asks me if I want to see remote content. Appreciate your help, Westside

    Unfortunately, I can't try to reproduce your problem. My Seamonkey1.1.4 was a dud, and I gave it up. By the way did you make the changes with Seamonkey closed, or did you do it with Seamonkey open? Regardless the new settings should be still in your preferences. If it reverted to True, it was not done right, if it is still on False, then the line change is not the right one.
    I am using Seamonkey2.0 nightly, the Seamonkey of the future, if they go past v.a1pre, and it does not have that line.

    BimmerGuy,

    Add this script to your prefs.js file:

    user_pref( "mail.phishing.detection.enabled ", false);

    It should stick.

    Don't forget to back up the file before editing... ;)

    Hi and thank you Ramona, Westside. Have it working now, I took another close look in pref, mail & newsgroups, mess. display. I inadvertinly had block images from remote sources blocked. I feel like a dummy and real sorry for bothering.

    Marty,

    Not a problem, and it's so easy to overlook the simple solutions. Glad that you were able to fix the problem! :)
