    Hi,
I have my friend's computer here at my house trying to help him connect to the internet through Juno. He is running a Windows 98 machine using the modem in the computer. I have reinstalled Juno several times and it seems to connect to the internet but I do not get the Juno home screen. I did download on my computer a little program from Juno to check the connection on the computer. It said that the modem did not have the correct driver. I'm not sure if this is truly the problem but I would like to update the driver for his modem but I'm not sure where to go to get it. His modem is a Lucent Win Modem (LT V.90 Data+Fax Modem Version 6.00). Is there somewhere I can download the update for free. I really don't want to spend a lot of money as it is not my machine.

    Thanks for the help.

    Jean

    Pete,
Thank you for answering my question so promptly. I really appreciate it. I have visited the site you suggested but I'm overwhelmed by it. I just am not sure what driver is necessary for my friend's computer. How do I know what to download and install.

His modem is a Lucent Win Modem (LT V.90 Data+Fax Modem Version 6.00). When I tried to search for it, it didn't find anything.

Please help me try to figure this out.

    Thank you.

    Jean

    Hi Pete,

Thanks again for your help. I did download and install the driver and the computer seems to be working OK now. I'm going to return it to him this morning so hopefully it will last awhile longer until he finally buys a new computer.

    Thanks again.

    Jean
    :)
