    Hi:

I logged in, selected my interest area and spent an hour composing and getting
    my new posting just right.
    I selected "send ".

I was informed that I was not logged in.
    I had to log in.

And my new posting was gone.

Did I take too long from selecting a new thread until
    selecting send ?

    Thanks

We'll try again some other day - and yes, this time, we will compose
off line via Word or Wordpad. Then copy and paste and send right off.
Seems that I just answered my own posting !

Please observe Posting Rules #3 - Meaningful Subject - I have adjusted your title.

Why don't you simply use autologon to the BBS - check the box when you log on.

I have lost many posts on the WindowsBBS ... :( ... but it was in most cases my own fault. Clicking the back-button will probably not make your day, so to speak, when composing a post. My browser has returned a "page not found" when trying to preview ... ... with the same happy outcome. My standard procedure is, when composing anything that takes longer than a minute, to click ctrl+A and ctrl+C every now and then. If for some reason it gets lost, ctrl+V will put it back.

If you need to go elsewhere on the BBS while composing a reply hit Ctrl+N for a duplicate page and go elsewhere on the Board from there - return to the original page when done.
