Shortcuts multipling

    On desktop if click on a shortcut such as a game or even recycle bin all that happens is a duplicate shortcut icon shows up. Had to shutdown the computer to clear it up and in a short time it starts again. What do I do?

    Are you sure nothing's wrong with your keyboard that something might be pressed for something weird to happen? Once whenever I clicked on an icon everything before it would highlight, and if I double clicked, all of it would open.
