I upgraded to IE7 and found it to be to my disliking. what are the positives of it over IE6 that would deem it necessary?

Besides the location of things in the upper layers, I dislike the fact of not being able to move anything there. I don't like the multiple sites that are stored because they're not updated. I still log in to BBS and see that I've got a unread PM only to find that it isn't and I that I even replied to it yesterday. I'm sure I'll find more as I've only had it about a week.

On IE6, you could unlock the toolbar and place the address bar, tool bar (favorites etc) wherever you liked. You, or to better put it, I, can't and don't like it.

Also, why should I have to check the box that says remember me? It should everytime I log in.

I think you've listed many reasons to stick with IE6;)

It will probably be a while before you'll be forced to upgrade. Till then use 6.

Thanks Steve, can I just delete it and my old IE6 will reappear or is more required?

Not delete it - go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 7 - IE 6 will be reinstated.
