Missing e-mail from Windows BBS?

I’m not a great power user of the Windows BBS. I mostly just to read the various posts and if I can I will add my two cents. I enjoy the BBS and have learned a lot.

With that being said I had an experience today that I don‘t understand.

I checked for new e-mails and I had several to download, so I did. One was from the Windows BBS saying I had a private e-mail from einstein, below the message was the URL, I clicked it and it took me to the private
e-mail area on the BBS.

Well maybe I’m missing something but no where could I see an e-mail.
If I remember correctly the inbox said there was one message, but I couldn’t find it.
One thing I thought unusual was the date, Dec. 31 1969.

Hope some one can help.

I got one too last night. It was a greeting from einstein.

Today I see your post. I went backed and checked. Now I see what you are seeing.

I take it Arie is working on something.

Well add me to the list also. I also received an E-mail saying that I had a message from {einstein} but can not find it. loonychoons Maybe a GLUTCH ???

 

I don't know if Arie has more info about this, or if he will share what he does/doesn't know about it, but you folks aren't alone. There have been several other reports about this same thing now.

FYI, user einstein has now left the building, permanently.

I had the same problem today.
I followed the instructions and emailed the Administrator.

When I logged in , a popup notified me of a PM. However when I clicked on it, a window came up with "Invalid Private Message specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator ". So, I notified the administrator.
Also, the message in my inbox was blank and dated 18:00 31 December 1969

I did not log on. My Yahoo said I had a message, I Copy and paste the link, then up came the message, only it was blank. No pop ups or Instructions.
