helo every one here from few days i m facing very badly problem with my cpu i can't run windows whenever i restart my pc it's p4 asus 4333-m the following message appear!
"stop:0x00000007,(0x00000007,0x00000000,0x00000000) config_intialization_failed "
sometime cpu boot in windows appears i mention here i m using windows 2000 after loading few mints and suddenly it keep restarts n it happens most of time some time i recieve error or if unfortunately if run windows it restarted...
okey i have taken fews step i did google searching n find out might be it's because bad memory so i have tried another memory ram from other working system but the problem still remain even i have reformted and install windows again but problem still exists i have checked all cables n all are fine. plz help me find out what's going on with system now i can't work on it need some expert advices ..

 

thanx arie for ur response u know i can't login in normal windows mode because everytime it restart n i recieve this error during startup your windows can't be restared and following file is missing (pc keep restarting)c:\windows\system32\config\systemced
and abt to download degbug from microsoft i try to download but file is always corrupt i just reformted my windows yesterday but problem still exists the procedure i reformart my pc i use win98 bootup disk (partition is fat32)to boot cpu then i format c drive n use smart drive command n then started setup from backup drive d:
i believe that if i install winodws 98 it will works fine but may be will cause if i use windows 2000 or winxp version need ur suggestion thanx

 

okey broni i already have tried memory from other working cpu but problem still there right now i have put my pc on low level format of hard drive n then i will reinstall windows again n see mightbe it works n meantime i m waiting from arie response regarding this matter n all other hardware experts

 

I suggest that you do not use the Smartdrive command.

What utilities are you using to do the "low level" format? I would recommend you use the harddrive manufacturer's utilities. After you complete the L-L format, use the manufacturer's utilities to build the partitions and choose the format you want for Win 2000 (they may ask if you wish to format for Win 2000, Win XP, this will be NTFS, or, they may ask if you want to format for Win 98, ME, this will format as FAT32, Windows 2000 can run on either type of format).

If there might be a problem with the partitioning or format of the HDD, I will use the utilities from the hard disk drive manufacturer's website.

thanx mattman for your knowledge i m using hard disk manufacture utility maxtor to make low level format it's just abt to finish n then later on i m going to install windows 2000 from cd rom n then i test the system i hope everything will be fine if still problem exist i'll bring this issue here for further ur suggestion n solve tq.

I used smart drive command bcs i do install from backup drive n using bootbale floppy to install windows so it ask to use smartdrv command n i did it.the system don't have cd rom.

 

ufff no luck i just installing windows n setup just abt to finish n i recieve error same config_intialization_failed...
help me to find out what's problem thanx.

 

haaa just abt to post here n my pc suddenly restarted i m able to run windows now but some time pc restarted automatically .

I found this on CONFIG_INITIALIZATION_FAILED:

It has a different error number though.

If you have any PCI (or ISA) add-in cards, remove them until after Windows is installed (also USB devices, etc). You may then need to install the drivers before you put the cards back in.

i haven't install any new hardware
i have turn off the cpu let me on oh on i m receiving one more error.
