My puter has this problem; I get the bios startup screen, then the Windows splash screen......................................and then a blank screen. Nada. After one minute, it finishes the boot up. I just recently added MOH Airborn to my games, but I don't know if this is what caused it.
    TIA

    Hi George.

The only way to know for is to uninstall the program and see.

I can't imagine how a program install would cause this, though.

Perhaps your PC is infected. What AV, firewall, etc. are you running ?

    A little confused ...
Computer does finish boot and successful loads Windows??
If yes, your question is .... why the one minute blank screen during boot??
Or your computer does NOT finish boot and your dead in the water??

Sorry for the delay in reply, I've been a little under the weather.
Yes, the computer does finish the boot normally. Without the one minute delay, the bootup would be normal. It's very frustrating.

My guess, it is when it is loading the drivers for the graphics. If there is a blank screen after the Windows loading screen there is likely to be a problem with the graphics drivers.

    BUT...
It may go back to the drivers which oversee the graphics drivers and those are the motherboard chipset drivers.

First, find updated chipset drivers for your motherboard/system, then, if the problem is still around, look for updated graphics drivers.

Go to the manufacturer's website and find the drivers yourself, don't rely on clicking "Look for drivers on the internet" or installing drivers from Windows Update. Find out the model of your hardware yourself and install/update them manually (I don't update drivers if my hardware is working correctly).

    As I said, my guess.

    Matt
