firefox 2.0 major problem

    i have just downloaded the newest version of firefox. i beleive its version 2.07 or somthing as such. When i open it up i get the error message in the browser saying error loading page. This occurs for EVERY page i try to go to. But for some reason, my regular mozilla browser works fine. That is the only way i could even log on here. If it helps, i have windows xp, home edition. I do NOT use internet explorer because of security issues, and i want to use firefox because my regular mozilla has security issues as well.

    please help me with this issue as soon as possible.

    Uninstall, re-download, and reinstall, to start with.

    nope, same result. should i download a earlier version like 1.5?

    It shouldn't matter what version...
    Maybe some AV, or firewall settings...What are you using in this department?
