i am looking for a convenient way to have 2 separate pc's one with xp pro and the other with vista business to utilitize 1 keyboard, 1 mouse and 1 display so i can bounce back and forth when i have a client asking a vista question. one pc the pro is still using ps2 connectors for the keyboard and mouse but if needed that can be remedied other machine is strictly usb.

there are tons out there so just looking for suggestions as to a good device and some thing that wont bust my budget.

    thanks a head of time.

I use an all-usb Iogear KVM that I got about 3 years ago for about $115. Some KVMs are quite bad. All of them have their quirks....doesn't work when it's snowing, etc. :D Suggest you get a "testimonial" from somewhere before choosing one.

    kvm

I have used the KTC model kz102p kvm switch for a couple years now..
No prob using one comp while the other is off, 1 second switching between comps while both are on and it does not interfere with download or upload speed, I have experimented with that.. It works exactly as I wanted, yup..
