I have just added a 5th PC, which was operating in Stand-Alone mode using a Dial-Up connection, to my Broadband Home Network.

The E-Mail Server settings for the original 4 PC's were, eg - 'pop.abc.net' and 'mail.abc.net', and the settings for the New PC on the Dial-Up connection were - 'pop.xyz.net' and 'smtp.xyz.net'.

Without making any changes, I am able to receive E-Mail designated for the New PC, but I cannot send any mail from this PC.

I tried testing the Account Settings with the available system, and I get the following errors:

    1) The specified Server was found, but there was no response from the Server.
    2) Unable to connect to the outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)

Any assistance would be very much appreciated, because I am very tall but things like this are still waaay above my head.

    Many Thanks.

Make sure that you use your current ISP's SMTP address to send email. Many Esp's will block sending mail to any other SMTP server.

    Thank you for the reply.

When I changed this setting it worked.
