I can't install win XP because " the video card & mother board are not compatable ".

I have brand new ECS atx P6S5AT, and a Geforce 2 card.

there were other computers in the sstore with the same configuration running win XP.

I've tried two video cards GeForce & ATI.

 I hav no idea what the problem is

I hav flashed Bios, latest chipset drivers, latest video card drivers.

    i am running win98, ie6.0
    PIII 800Mhz, 320Mb pc-133 ram

    HELP!!!

Gasoline, not sure if this helps, and it is PROBABLY totally redundant..

You said that you have the latest drivers...
Fine, were they the XP compatible drivers...?

Dumb question, but those are generally the ones that get you..

Partition your hard drive, put Win 98 on the one drive, then the other put in Windows XP, I HOPE that you are putting in Windows XP Pro, but It is your decision..
Or you can put Windows XP on one drive by itself, and format the second drive try installing CLEAN Windows XP to the other drive.
Oh, this too is quite dumb, but on the drive or partition you want XP to go in, put your drivers there first in a subfolder just for ALL drivers..
Does not matter, mouse, printer, modem, etc. etc. etc.
Then when you run Windows XP to install, it does a quick scan of hardware to perform hardware compatibility test. It will give you a print out of what is, what may be, and what is NOT compatible.
Go carefully down your PRINT out of this list. Put the recommended updates into the aforementioned folder and go for it again.;)
